Gold Tuna: Premium Tuna Cuisine Served with Heart and Gratitude

There are many days when I sit at the table

and find that it is not my stomach that is empty,

but my heart that feels a certain hunger.

I find myself longing for more than just a meal to fill a void;

I hope to find a piece of someone's heart resting within that single meal.

The founding philosophy of Goldtuna, inscribed at our entrance.

Perhaps that is why

I have always believed that food must contain three essential things:

Quiet dedication, gratitude, and the art of sincere service.

Without these, food is merely a collection of ingredients,

and dining becomes nothing more than a means of survival.

Quiet dedication is,

the gentle touch that looks after the heart before the hunger.

I first learned the meaning of this devotion from the table my mother prepared.

It is another face of love,

and it resembles a quiet, lingering affection.

It is the silent wish that someone’s day might be a little better,

that they are doing well without any trouble.

So, whenever I prepare food,

I move my hands with that same quiet consideration my mother, Yun Gwang-rye, once showed.

I work in the hope that a single meal

can become a small comfort in someone's long day.

The space is filled with words reflecting our quiet dedication.

Gratitude is

what begins when we stop seeing food as mere calories.

A single tuna, a grain of rice, even a drop of soy sauce—

all were once living things.

That something which was alive

now sits on my table to become the fuel for my day.

The fact that one life fades so another may continue—

before that truth, I naturally bow my head in humility.

That is what gratitude means.

To eat is, after all, to accept the place of another

so that I may live out my day.

A family armed with gratitude; that heart is transferred to the plate.

The art of sincere service is,

the sincere wish that someone’s day might become a little smoother.

It is the intention to lower oneself.

A prayer that this meal becomes a blessing.

I hope the hand that presents the food

reaches your heart quietly.

“To the one who eats this food,

may your day be a bit warmer and softer than yesterday.”

If such a heart is contained within,

it is no longer just a dish;

it becomes a small prayer.

May your life be warmer and softer because of this meal.

And so, today as well,

though I move a little slowly,

I strive never to lose that heart.

Goldtuna is located in Bangi and Sinsa.

Food has no voice,

yet within it are so many words I wish to convey.

I hope those words seep into you,

felt deeply without the need for explanation.

Even if they are not felt, it is alright.

I am simply content

living my day with a full heart.
