Why Our Group of 10 Chose Gold Tuna Bangi-dong for a Company Dinner
Last Friday, ten colleagues traveling from the hospital arrived at Goldtuna Bangi.
They gathered for the Royal Special course, accompanied by our manager’s signature three-part drink pairing. It was an evening of unhurried celebration, a chance to set aside the weight of the workday and simply enjoy the company of those who labor alongside them.

A Journey of 5.9 Kilometers at Rush Hour
The distance from the hospital to Goldtuna is approximately 5.9 kilometers. On a Friday evening, however, the actual experience of travel feels much longer as the city slows to a crawl during the commute.
Consider how many restaurants they must have passed on their way. The stretch between Gangnam and Jamsil is filled with tuna specialty houses and venues for company dinners. They could have easily found a place just outside the hospital gates.
There were many more convenient options available. Yet, these ten people looked past them all and made their way specifically to Goldtuna Bangi.
For those of us who run a restaurant, such a choice is never seen as ordinary. To be selected from a sea of candidates and to have guests navigate the evening traffic to find us feels like a small miracle.

A Shared Table on a Vibrant Friday
The menu for the evening was the Royal Special.
As the tuna courses flowed, our manager performed the signature drink pairing for the table. The photographs show ten smiling faces, waving and making playful gestures.
Though their connection began at work, for this evening, the laughter at the table preceded their titles and duties. It was a moment to unravel the complexities of a Friday evening and simply exist as friends around a meal.

Colleagues see each other every day.
Yet departments change, people relocate, and some eventually move on to new chapters. Faces that are once familiar can quietly fade as paths diverge. This is why we offered to take their photograph before the meal ended.
What seems like a standard company dinner today may, in a few years, become a precious reminder of conversations and shared laughter. Professional bonds may be temporary, but the scenes we create together can last a lifetime.

A Friday dinner is just one event in a long sequence of days. In the moment, its significance might go unnoticed. But as years pass, its meaning changes.
