When we paused for a photograph, all four family members waved and smiled brightly. The joy of the moment was clearly visible in the expressions of the son and daughter seated beside their parents.
Throughout the dinner, glasses were raised for toasts. It was not a grand or loud ceremony, but a simple, heartfelt gathering of family sharing food and celebration.
