My daughter found her partner early and has already blessed me with two granddaughters; the eldest is already a first-grader.
They are the absolute light of my life.
However, thinking of my two sons often brings a gentle, knowing laugh.

These are the small worries that occupy a corner of any ordinary father's mind.

Because of those feelings, the couple sitting before me felt like my own son and daughter.
They were so admirable and lovely that I couldn't just stand by.
