Just moments before their arrival, a small room typically reserved for four or five people became available. We expressed our concern that it might be too cramped, but the guests insisted on staying together. All eight settled into the intimate space.
When we offered our apologies for the tight quarters, we received an unexpected response.

I cannot say for certain if the guests felt that exact same nostalgia. But their comment that it "felt like a warm common room" mirrored the intimate spaces I carry in my own heart.

Even in the confined space, we proceeded with our signature liquor omakase performance. Eight people watched from just inches away as the drinks were crafted, and together, they raised their glasses.
To show our quiet dedication and to apologize for the lack of space, we waived the cost of the beverages that evening. This was not a standard promotion, but a spontaneous gesture of heartfelt hospitality for that specific moment.
When I stepped in to take a photo, there were nine people in that small room for a moment. Still, the sentiment from the guests remained unchanged.

I felt apologetic for the narrow room, yet the guests found joy in their proximity. Of course, when eight guests visit in the future, we will strive to prepare a space that offers them full comfort.
