Mom’s Birthday Celebration: Family Dinner in Jamsil Bangi-dong
On a Monday during the fourth week of July,
a family—a couple with their son and daughter—visited the Bangi branch of Goldtuna to celebrate the mother's birthday.

The three of them raised their glasses, pairing wine with tuna to celebrate their mother’s special day.
The mother and daughter, in particular, looked more like close friends. The way they held identical glasses and waved their hands felt effortless and natural.
I have a son and a daughter of my own, though mine are still as spirited and unruly as young colts. Perhaps that is why the sight of this daughter sitting so tenderly by her mother’s side felt especially beautiful to me.

How a Wine Glass Changes the Evening
I have long held a deep appreciation for the wine glass.
Back in 2018, I wrote that even a solitary beer should be enjoyed in a wine glass. I believe that the vessel used to hold a drink inevitably changes the posture and mindset of the one drinking it.
On this day, the glasses held by the three family members elevated their meal, making it feel distinct from any ordinary dinner.
The family aligned their busy schedules. They gathered at a single table. They captured the moment with matching glassware.
When such a degree of care is present, the heart's intention to celebrate a birthday is fully conveyed.

A. Corkage is available at both our Bangi and Sinsa branches. For standard wine and sake, the fee is 20,000 per bottle. Large-format sake and whiskey are 40,000. If you inform us of your preferred spirit when making a reservation, we will prepare the appropriate wine, sake, or whiskey glasses for your convenience.
